Kumud Sampath
Vice President, USP–India
Kumud joined USP in September 2005 to provide oversight and leadership for the start-up and operation of the USP–India
site. Previously the president and executive director of AstraZeneca India Pvt. Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of
AstraZeneca PLC, UK), Kumud brings with her valuable experience in establishing state-of-the-art laboratories for
pharmaceutical research and business development, interacting with government agencies, and spearheading innovative
biotechnology pursuits in India. These past accomplishments, along with her talent for building relationships within the
international drug and healthcare markets, have made Kumud a key figure in promoting USP’s overall global public health
initiatives.

A.V. Murali Krishna
Customer Relationship Manager, USP–India
Murali joined USP–India in February 2006 as a Customer Relationship Manager. Prior to this assignment, Murali
worked with Sigma-Aldrich, India, in the capacity of Regional Manager-Central. In his 12 years of marketing
and business development experience, Murali interacted closely and extensively with end-users in the pharmaceutical
industry and public research organizations who worked in diverse fields, such as chemical synthesis, analytical
chemistry, and biotechnology.

Ashok Dang
Customer Relationship Manager, USP–India
A. Dang joined USP–India in April 2006. Previously, he spent more than 8 years in marketing for the pharmaceutical
industry, serving most recently as a senior product specialist at a leading international analytical instrumentation
manufacturer. At USP, A. Dang helps cultivate, expand, and manage USP customer relationships in the India region.
He holds graduate degrees in both chemistry and business administration.

George Mathew
Customer Relationship Executive, Inside Sales
George joined USP–India in December 2006, bringing with him 13 years of experience in customer service and sales
operations, most of which was spent working with pharmaceutical companies and research organizations. George relies
on his strong communication and data management skills to provide real-time support to direct customers and resellers
in India.
